Overview

Our client embarked on a mission to democratize online sales for small and local businesses by launching an e-commerce marketplace. This platform was envisioned to enable these businesses to showcase and sell their products online, breaking geographical limitations and opening up new customer bases. However, as newcomers to software development, the client faced significant challenges, including a lack of development expertise and the diverse digital readiness of their target businesses.

Solution

To overcome the identified challenges, we embarked on a comprehensive approach that encompassed various strategic elements. Starting with expert consultation and roadmap planning, we delved into in-depth consulting on software development processes to refine the client’s vision and establish a clear, actionable roadmap for the product’s development.

Understanding the necessity for flexibility and user-friendliness, our team crafted a customized integration framework tailored to meet the varied operational needs of local businesses, paired with a user-friendly interface to guarantee a seamless shopping experience for customers.

To ensure all strategic objectives, target markets, and functional requirements were clearly defined, we created a Business Requirement Specification (BRS) document. This was complemented by the compilation of a System Requirement Specifications (SRS) document, providing a comprehensive description of the software requirements essential for the platform.

Furthermore, to visually convey the platform’s intended design and user experience, we produced interactive design prototypes, enabling stakeholders to get a tangible feel of the proposed solution.

Property Developer Process Automation

Property developer process automation gave a construction team and an in-house legal team one shared view of commercial risk — for the first time in the business’s history. Two experienced functions had run in parallel for years, connected only by email. Severus agreed the definitions first, then integrated the systems.

Procore–Sage Reporting Automation

Construction reporting automation turned a fourteen-hour weekly ritual into a three-hour exception review. A main contractor was hand-building its management pack from Procore, Sage, and three spreadsheets — and still shipping figures that were five days old. Severus fixed the underlying data first, then automated the reporting layer.
